This college is approved by the Ministry of Health Family Welfare; Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh . It is affiliated with University of Dhaka and is recognized by Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (MDC). It has an agreement of academic co-operations with Health Sciences University of Hokkaido. A Good Number of our graduates are currently pursuing Ph.D Health Sciences University Of Hokkaido, Japan, Tokyo University of japan. Many of our meritorious students are now working in USA, Australia, UK, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Gambia, South Africa, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal and other countries. Our college gives maximum emphasis on education and I can say very proudly that our students are good, keen and sincere in their studies. Besides education, arrangements are made so that the students can participate in clinical camps and cultural activities, indoor games, seminars, international symposium etc. So far the achievements in these fields are also worth mentioning. The college is doing its best to help the students. Now it is the students who have to help themselves by remaining disciplined and studying very hard. They must remember that “God helps those, who help themselves”. If they want to do something and work sincerely, nothing can refrain them from achieving their goal. I believe in goodness of the soul and power of the mind and its my firm conviction that a student is always good but the system makes him do untoward things. The Institute has a standing of about 26 years, has its roots in the dentistry, laid the foundation of many students at health service development of the country. CDC has rich heritage of past and has its standing as or, of the best dental educational Institute in the country. The rich traditions of this historic institution combined with the brand of the the service system have produced an institution par excellence in CDCH. I invite you to experience the unique environment at CDC, which is a blend of tradition and modernity and is evolving continuously. As of new, CDC has 15 academic departments offering BDS courses. Admissions to the Under-Graduate courses are made through a nation-wide Joint Entrance Examination organized by the Ministry of Health, Government of Bangladesh . In the Academic Session 2017-18, we had a total student strength of 75 (including 38 overseas scholars), faculty strength of almost 97 and a support staff of about 34. This importance is well indicated in the spread of facilities at the campus. There is a full-fledged medicine club, the blood donation Club, a very active Cultural Society and one of its kind, the Institute cricket Club, in addition to the regular facilities. Our scientific journal is unique, 7 international editors continuously contributing in our journal. Every 3 month we have seminars for clinical students and trainee doctors. We organize hands on courses once in a month. All undergraduate, domestic and overseas students may reside on the campus and thereby get full opportunity to participate in-curricular and extra-curricular activities leading to a holistic personality development.
