Fareast International University (FIU) is a fast growing private university in Bangladesh founded in 2013 by a group of philanthropists, intellectuals and industrialists.

Fareast International University (FIU) is a fast growing private university in Bangladesh founded in 2013 by a group of philanthropists, intellectuals and industrialists. Its establishment got approval from the government in 2013 under the Private University Act-2010. The university started its academic activities formally from Spring-2014 semester. The primary aim of FIU is to generate knowledge by providing high quality education with academic excellence to produce skillful manpower and human resources who will accept the challenges of global corporate world. One of its objectives is to provide quality education at an affordable cost. FIU is operating trimester basis in 18 Undergraduate & Master programs under 5 faculty, namely Faculty of Business, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Liberal Arts & Social Science and Faculty of Law. The Administrative functionaries are experienced and accountable to the Board of Trustees and the management is discharging their responsibilities. All are unwaveringly committed to ensuring quality education in conducting academic environment and excellent infrastructure at the prime location at Banani, Dhaka.

Fareast International University (FIU) offers Tri-Semester based education on:

Students will get the opportunity of admission on the basis of their merit in past academic records. One can apply by an Admission Form available in the Office of Admission on payment of Tk. 500 (Taka Five Hundred only). Below documents need to be attached with the filled-up Admission Form:

Research & Collaboration

Fareast International University (FIU) has established Integrated Research Institute for Inclusive Development (IRIID) to promote research on various issues of the contemporary world & facilitate further education using appropriate technology for sustainable development under the provision of the Private University Act-2010 and approval from the University Grants Commission (UGC).

Aims & Objectives:

To promote and provide facilities for advanced studies & research on all the benches of knowledge and such other subjects as are significantly related to the life and society of Bangladesh for short courses viz. diploma, the M. Phil. and Ph.D. degrees

To undertake research projects in co-operation with public or private organizations, International donors or Agencies as and when necessary under mutual agreement

To place at the disposal of society the results of the researches conducted at the Institute for fruitful utilization in planning & development schemes

To co-operate with other departments of the university in research activities

To popularize knowledge through seminars, conferences & publications

To conduct such other activities as may facilitate attainment of the objective of the institute

Currently, IRIID is in the verge of starting certificate courses on Cyber-Security, Media Studies, & Micro-Finance. The details will be available here very soon and further information can be availed from the office as well.
