About University

ISU has come into being under the Private University Act, 2010 with the approval of UGC and the Ministry of Education, Govt. of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

It has been founded by the ‘International Standard University Trust’ and is managed by a Board of Trustees, composed of the philanthropic industrialists from Standard Group who are committed to imparting quality education to the students. As a part of their CSR activity, the founders aim at building the university as purely a non-profit institution. The campus is student friendly with all sorts of modern facilities in the classrooms, labs, library etc. The permanent campus will soon be established within the city of Dhaka while most other private universities are moving out of Dhaka city. In addition to quality education, the students will have access to several types of curricular and co-curricular activities, amusements, games, and sports. A plan is underway to establish academic exchange programs with renowned universities of the USA, UK, Canada and Australia. The students will enjoy credit transfer facilities both at home and abroad. The students will be provided with all sorts of facilities to develop themselves and find career opportunities at home and abroad. Job opportunities are also there for the most deserving ones within the Standard Group, its sister concerns and other organizations. We will in sha Allah, reach our goal of branding this university as a center of excellence where quality will exist in all of its operational activities and each student will turn out as an asset for the self, the parents and society. The authority, the teachers, the officers and the support staff will proactively remain engaged to ensure students a friendly teaching and learning environment on the campus. Co-curricular and extra-curricular activities will be ensured both within and outside the campus for balanced development of ISU graduates.
