It will create higher education facilities in a combination with technical and technology-based education in a backward area like Meghna and its surrounding Upazilas. This is in line with the present Government’s policy that Universities should be decentralized and spread out to rural and semi-rural areas in order to provide opportunities to the students located in the regional and backward areas. To date, USET is the first privately owned technical University in the country. Having the plan to build in Meghna Upazila, USET is facilitating the HPM Sheikh Hasina’s dream that ‘Every Upazila would have technical education centers’.
USET will create strong skilled manpower by introducing the so-called ‘Dual’ technical education systems existing in the EU countries. The implementation of this type of education system will be based on various problems and programs oriented subjects with practical implementation in industrial sectors and rural development.

University of Skill Enrichment and Technology, also known as USET, is the first-ever university of Bangladesh dedicated to skill enrichment. Aligned with the goals of the Government of Bangladesh to achieve the title of developed country by 2041, USET is determined to create technically and vocationally skilled human resources. USET offers quality higher education with international standards at undergraduate and graduate levels in different fields of science and business. USET has qualified, experienced, and understanding faculty members in its three departments of Business, Engineering, and Liberal Arts and Social Science. Undergraduate :

At present USET is conducting a total of 4 undergraduate programs and waiting on University Grant Commission(UGC) approval for B.Sc in Electronics and Electrical Engineering and Bachelor of Library Science etc. The duration of each program is four (04) years. Each program consists of a total of eight (08) semesters each having six months of duration.

USET is waiting for a total of 05 regular graduate programs namely Masters of Business Administration, M.Sc in Computer Science & Engineering, Masters of Arts in English, and Masters of Social Science in Economics. The degree works towards producing graduates well prepared to take a leadership role that upholds professionalism and responsibility.
