About University
Bangladesh Army has established three technical universities in the country in 2014. One of these three universities is located at Qadirabad cantonment and named as ‘Bangladesh Army University of Engineering & Technology (BAUET), Qadirabad.
BAUET IN BRIEF:
Bangladesh Army University of Engineering & Technology (BAUET) started its journey on 15 January 2015. It was an outcome of the visionary leadership of Sheikh Hasina the Honorable Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh who planned to establish technical universities to be run by the army. Accordingly, the Honorable State Minister for ICT, Mr. Zunaid Ahmed Palak, MP unveiled the Foundation Plaque of the University on 15 February 2015. BAUET is located at Qadirabad Cantonment in Natore. The place is one of the important communication hub for adjoining major district headquarters: Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogra & Kushtia. Qadirabad Cantonment which is located at Dayarampur is one of the famous places of Natore. Especially, this place is famous for its educational institutions. It has a quiet and serene environment which offers very congenial academic atmosphere. The main campus is located at Qadirabad Cantonment, with a immense infrastructural support from Cantonment. It is a matter of great pride that within a short span of time the University has its own permanent campus in the present location. Moreover, the university has established a wide range of broadband internet facilities with Wi-Fi zone in the campus.The University has been established as per the Private Universities Act 2010 of the Bangladesh Government. Army Welfare Directorate of Adjutant General’s Branch of Army Headquarters has been given the responsibility to control these three Universities. It is an independent private University to offer higher technical education to prospective, young generation of Bangladesh. Initial set up work of the University was done by Engineer Centre & School of Military Engineering (ECSME) to start the first semester classes.At present we are using permanent campus in own land besides North Western side of Qadirabad Cantonment for our administrative and academic activities from 6 January 2016. The cantonment authority is committed to continue the support and provide us a sense of safety, security and also congenial educational environment as it has been doing since the inception of the BAUET. Area Headquarters Bogura and ECSME are supporting the BAUET administration.

Approving Authority:
All academic programs, courses and syllabus of BAUET are approved by the UGC. All academic programs and examinations are conducted as per the schedule approved by the University. The exam papers are scrutinized through various stages by the supervision of the controller of examination. After approval of the results, certificates will be awarded among the qualified students of BAUET.

Admission Process
Rules and Procedures:
Candidates have to complete admission formalities within a fixed period of time as decided by admission office.
Any candidate failing to complete admission formalities within the prescribed time, her/his selection will be automatically cancelled.
Any student failing to attend the class within two weeks of the commencement of the academic program will be warranted cancellation of his/her admission and forfeiture of all fees including security deposit.
Vacant seats will be filled up from waiting lists which will be prepared and displayed by the admission office as per merit and be notified as per requirement.
Original copies of certificates and transcripts/mark sheets of SSC & HSC or equivalent examination
Five copies of passport size and two copies of stamp size recent colored photograph of the candidate
Testimonial from the head of the last institution attended
Nationality certificate from UP Chairman or appropriate authority or birth certificate
In case of Freedom Fighters (FF) quota, candidate must submit the original certificate of the FF issued by the Ministry of Freedom Fighters Affairs, the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
Department Allotment: Departments will be allotted on the basis of individual merit position in the admission test at the end of admission against total vacancies. Individual choice for selection of departments will be given preference as far as possible.
Guardian’s Undertakings: During admission, parents/guardians of the candidate must give an undertaking with the conditions set by the BAUET authority.
Admission Schedule for Each Year:
For Summer (March to August) session the admission process starts from December of the previous year.
For Fall (September to February) session the admission process starts from July of the same year.
Selected candidates will get themselves admitted as per the time table to be announced by BAUET.
Qualification for Admission
Engineering Subjects:The candidate must have passed the SSC/O-Level and HSC/A-Level examinations or equivalent examinations with minimum GPA 3.00 in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics individually. The candidate must have a total of GPA 8.00 in SSC and HSC examinations or equivalent examinations.
Business & Humanities Subjects: The Candidate must have at least GPA 3.00 (with 4th Subject) in HSC or equivalent examination. They must have a total of GPA 6.50 (with 4th Subject) in SSC and HSC examinations or equivalent examinations.
*In case of provisional admission, candidate must have to submit the verified certificate by the head of the institute that the particular student is expected to pass with at least GPA 3.50. Admission of such candidates will however be cancelled if they fail to achieve the target grade. In case of such cancellation money is refundable.
